Our ideas mainly come from the colorful, swirly-twirly mind of Jaimie. She has no shortage of ideas, if only there were enough time to make them ALL!
This one always makes us chuckle. We are proudly (hand)made in Wisconsin. We make every single piece – by HAND. Our small but mighty team works tirelessly to create our whimsical art. We like to think that we infuse each piece with a little bit of magic and lots of love. ‘Cuz who couldn’t use more of both in their lives???
Our process has many steps and takes TIME, but quality is VERY important to us, so we never cut corners (unless the design has corners, LOL). Our pieces are created to be loved and admired for many years to come.
At this point, our biggest “issue” keeping up with demand is lack of production space – but don’t worry, that’s next on our list! And with your help, the possibilities are ENDLESS 🙂
At this point we do not take custom orders of any kind. See “Who makes your ART?” for more. Besides trying to take care of ourselves (don’t laugh, self-care is the first thing that goes out the window when you’re busy and you know it) – we are parents of two kiddos, one dog, one cat, and a handful of chickens – besides all the birdies we provide meals for. We LOVE this life and wouldn’t trade it for anything, but there are only 24 hours in a day.
See “Do you take custom orders?” We do offer a few “customizable” pieces in our Etsy shop though, take a look.
We love hearing feedback from customers! And we regularly get suggestions for new products. But honestly, Jaimie fills notebooks with ideas – developing new ideas takes time and there’s only so much of that 😉 So, maybe someday you’ll see a (your idea here) or a (your mom’s idea here), but in the meantime, Jaimie and Pete are cooking up some magic, guaranteed!
We do SOOOO many new products each season that sometimes it’s hard to keep new AND old faves in stock. Sometimes designs go away and come back later (or in a different way), other times they just go away. We think that’s part of what makes collecting our work fun – we hope you agree!
We get this a lot, and although we’d love to help, it isn’t fair to those that wait in line (some as early as 2+ hours prior to opening). Honestly, if my grandparents are waiting in line, (and they do – because they like it) so are you!
YES! We seal each painted piece to ensure long life and resistance from fading. Many customers have reported multiple years-worth of year-round display before they notice weathering of any kind. And for ALL you rust-lovers – you know that weather only makes it better – so bring it ON!
HHGA became a reality in 2002, we started by selling our creations at various retail locations, then started doing the art/craft show circuit, and in 2010 we opened our Coop and hosted our own first show at the Hollow. One of our big business goals has been to move ALL sales to our own space (you can imagine how much work it is to haul and display metal art at outside locations – thanks PETE!!!). Over the past 15+ years we have worked hard to achieve that. This allows us to focus more time on creating ART for you – AND continue to develop our space into an Inspiration Destination™ – which is actually part of our mission! We never take for granted that you take the time to visit our magical space and look forward to wowing you with our future plans!
We ask that you try to make sure you REALLY LOVE the piece(s) you purchase. All sales are final. Thanks for understanding 🙂
